Six years and three months ago — April 2009 — went to a Quilt Retreat with Betty Bugh to learn how to paper piece and make a Dear Jane quilt. Jane Stickley was the creator in Civil War years (1861-1865). It’s re-created by hundreds, like me — and what a journey it has been! Today–July 26, 2015– I finished attaching the last corner! The center has 169 squares, border has 52 pieced triangles, and 4 “kite” corners — each block is different with different fabric. Next leg of the journey is to quilt it — my plan is to do it myself on my small Kenmore sewing machine.
